Panasonic sound bar to toshiba tv

Have a new toshiba tv 49u6763db and a new Panasonic sound bar sc sb1 With a hdmi cable plugged into correct ports ( ARC) but can't get them to sync .. tv won't find it when In sound settings ?

Also have a sky box in hdmi 1

Assuming that you used the correct HDMI input on the TV and soundbar you would usually still have to manually turn ARC on in the TV menu. You might have to turn the TV speakers off and change the audio output type too.

Not sure what I did as I was trying every manual and method I could find until very late came to switch tv on today and can't get sound bar working again!! Frustrating . Can't find an option on tv for ARC or two change audio output ?
