Password Problems

Hi,
I was unaware i had a certain number of guesses for my password. I have locked my Western Digital My Book Essential. I have all my photos on it. Is there anyway i can unlock it without losing the photos? Also why isnt there a pop up to tell you this is your last guess? I assumed WD would have a copy of the password, but was greatly disappointed!

It's your password why would you expect WD to be responsible for it, how can they know what it is?
Most systems only allow you 3 bites at the cherry when entering passwords, otherwise anyone could keep on guessing until they got all your personal information.
You could Google for a password recovery program and see if you can get your photos back.
Always use a password that you can remember, not just something on the spur of the moment.
