Pavillion dv6500 laptop wont power on

Hello,
recently my laptop has just stopped working. It started with a screen issue(not displayinganything but everything running) which i thought id fixed, then out of the blue just stopped powering up. Press power button, all lights come on, then immediately off again, no fans kicking in, no hdd whirl. I bought a new battery but hasnt solved the problem. Ive tried the hard reset too, still no luck.
Any one got any ideas please, im climbing the walls here

its gone. may it rest in peace. cheaper to replace then repair.
