PC/dvi-to-hdmi adapter/no sound

Hello,
I have connected my PC to my flat TV with an dvi-hdmi adapter and the picture quality + computer is great but I have no sound. I thot the hdmi connection would be sound also, but I have no sound. Any ideas?

Your PC video card would have to support audio over DVI which some do. Check that and if it does then you might need to turn it on. If it doesn't you will have to change the video card as your TV does not have an audio input that you can use that will work with the HDMI input. If the TV has a VGA input that will have an audio input associated with it.
