PC speakers to AV reciever

Hello

I just bought an av receiver (pioneer asx-522) and have a powered sub with two satellite speakers (corsair sp2500), and cannot figure out how to make them work. I am using an hdmi input in the receiver and the video works properly.

did you switch the audio output in your control panel -> sound options to HDMI output./

I honestly can't figure out how to do that, but I am currently still looking. The red/white cables should be plugged into "pre-outs" on the receiver, correct?

Looked at the speakers. You can't really use those kind of speakers with an AV reciever. You would want an actual AV sub and satelite speakers that hook up with normal speaker wire to the receiver.
