Periodic freezing for short periods.

Hello everyone I have recently encountered this problem where my screen freezes randomly while I'm gaming or Surfing the internet (When I'm typing something on google the screen freezes for a short while and the words that I have typed in suddenly appear after sometime.) .

The frequency of these lag spikes or periodic freezing increases with the load on the CPU. For example if I have a lot programs/tabs opened or if I am gaming these periodic freezes happen more frequently.

I am using an Alienware laptop with the following specifications :

Operating system: Windows 10

Processor : Intel Core i7 2670QM

Manufacturer: Alienware
Model : M17x R3

Graphics Interface
PCI-E

Ram: DDR3 12 GB dual channel

Graphics : Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
& : AMD Radeon HD 6900M Series
