Phone Screen Flickering and Draining Battery

Hey guys I have an HTC Desire 700.
It's screen flicker (like screen - black - screen - black) and a battery draining issue.

My screen doesn't have a single scratch or break anywhere it still look new but it's showing screen flickering. And also I have a battery draining issue.

So my question is, Screen flickering is because of weak battery ?

Battery looses charge very quick like 15 - 20% loss in an hour.

My phone doesn't overheat it gets hot sometimes only while charging.

Flickering of screen is pretty random sometimes it works like charm without any issue and sometimes flickering continues for hour

Sorry I don't have any photos/videos but try to imagine.

Since that is about a 3 year old phone, try replacing the battery, that's about the useful lifetime of many batteries.
