Question Phone still in MDM mgmt

I bought the iphone 12;from my ex employer. The phone is factory reset but the remote agent still comes up on setup. I called my previous employer And they were no help. I know there is a way to remove the remote management with the Anyunlock program or other ones but once thats completed will the phone still show in the companies mobile client. And if it does show up will it show as inactive? Or is their any back door to take it out the MDM?

Seems the company needs to remove the device from their remote management system, as Googling the terms "remove iphone remote management" will confirm via multiple sources.

This feature prevents phones from being stolen and then re-used. Solve that problem with your former employer and then you should be able to proceed.
