My phone was stolen & then returned. I just got it back, the lock setting was taken off, all my photos, apps, & texts are gone. My contacts are still there, & a couple texts received after it was taken/before AT&T was notified. Is there any way to recover my pics that hadn't been uploaded to my cloud yet?? They're so important to me :(

While there is no guaranteed way to get the photos back, you 'may', and I emphasize 'may', be able to get some of them back. It will depend a lot on how they were deleted and if there is any trace of the data on the phone.

There are a few apps/programs out there that "may" be able to help you recover the data.

A few of the programs you could try would be... DiskDigger, MobiSaver, Android-Recovery and Tenorshare. They are all data recovery apps/programs. There are many others out there, so check around and see which you would rather try.

One important note though, most of these programs are not free. They may say they are "free" or have "Free Trials" and "Free Downloads". Yet to actually recover your data, and get your files back...

For future reference, I really would suggest backing up your data to a computer or cloud. Often. Better to spend the time doing that, rather than to be out all that stuff if the phone dies, things get deleted/erased or it gets stolen.

Really the only way your phone would have gotten the lock taken off and then your apps and other things removed was if whoever took it wiped the phone to factory defaults. There is very very little chance any data recovery software can get anything back, it may be able to find shreds of data but not the full working files. You may see some names of the pictures but not the pictures themselves.
