Play Youtube from Android Phone to (Dumb) TV?

My friend has a PS3 and you can easily play YT videos on his TV from your cell. I don't have a PS3 (nor want one) but want to achieve this. I don't have a smart TV, what are my options? Chrome cast? A Blu-ray player with WiFi? The cheaper, the better.

I'm not super knowledgeable on this stuff, any good advice would be greatly appreciated!

Chromecast can be had for $30.

As long as you have a free HDMI port this is probably the best solution.
