Please help! My Samsung Galaxy Note 3 won't charge

Hey, so I spilled a glass of water on my desk, and apparently the phone, now it only charges from laptop when it's off, won't charge from normal charger. What can be done? I tried toothbrush to clean the charging port but it didn't help. Thanks in advance

Get a bag of rice. Disassemble the phone (back cover, battery, SIM cards, etc and place all in the dry bag of rice and allow to sit over night. The rice will absorb the water from the phone. Try re-assembling and charging in the morning.
