Please help with video editing cpu/gpu purchase. What should I buy?

Hello!

I am new here... I am hoping someone can offer some good insight for me. I am getting into videography / video editing / photo edit...

I'm about to make a purchase between two laptops and was wondering if either is a good choice or if I am wasting money here and should I look at other machines?

Currently, I am looking at:

1) ($1490.00) Alienware AW17R5-7811BLK-PUS 17.3" laptop with Intel Core i7 8750H - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 - 256GB Solid State Drive + 1TB Hard Drive

2) ($1350.00) Asus - ROG GU501GM 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i7 8750H - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 - 1TB Hybrid Drive + 128GB SSD

I dont have a desktop, this would be my main source

Alienware is better of those two by far. Same CPU, one level higher video card and a larger SSD, not a lot of price difference.

This is my favorite site for gaming laptops www.xoticpc.com Never used them but I like their layout, selection and custom options.
