Solved! Please rate these 3 gaming laptops

Hey fellas, I finally cut-short my list to these 3 gaming laptops. So, I just want you to rate these 3 laptops on the aspect of their performance (playing games fluently). I’ll be thankful if you can rate these 3 laptops by giving them marks out of 10(again just consider the gaming performance aspect). Additionally, please also tell me what the difference between switchable graphics is. Are switchable graphics are known as crossfire/SLI.
Here are the 3 laptops with their specifications. 1) LENOVO Y560, PROCESSOR: core i7-740QM, RAM: 4GB DDR3, HARD DISK:500GB @5400rpm, GRAPHICS CARD: dedicated 1GB DDR3 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730, SCREEN AND RESOLUTION: 15.6 HD LED Glare 1366*768. 2) DELL XPS 15, PROCESSOR: core i7-740QM, RAM: 4GB DDR3, HARD DISK: 500GB @7200rpm, GRAPHICS CARD: dedicated 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 435M, SCREEN & RESOLUTION: 15.6 FHD(1920*1080) B+RGLED display with TrueLife. 3) MSI GX660, PROCESSOR: core i5-460M, RAM: 4GB DDR3, HARD DISK: 500GB SATA @5400 rpm, GRAPHICS CARD: dedicated 1GB DDR5 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870, SCREEN & RESOLUTION: 15.6 HD,Glare(1366*768) LED.

no, switchable graphics also known as hybrid graphics,they are usually a intel integrated graphics and a dedicated graphics card and you can choose which one to use.now for the rating:
Lenovo:7/10
Dell:7/10
MSI GX660:9/10
u should go with the msi it has a great graphics card which can easily handle all new games.

and do you think that HD5870 will be able to play games in coming 1 or 2 yrs in 1366*768 resolution with medium settings. will it be a bottleneck for games till 2012 or will it play smoothly?

it has the best gpu from all those you asked to rate.its a very powerful graphics card.

overall= MSI GX660 will give much much better performance in gaming
however the i7 740qm in Lenovo Y560 is the fastest processor and the GPU 5730 is also not bad but no way comparable with 5870. So if your main concern is gaming then go with MSI, very easy decision mate. If you want better standby then go with Lenovo Y560.
1. MSI GX660 (best price/perf ratio)
2. Lenovo Y560
3. Dell XPS 15 (least price/perf ratio)

It can handle 1080p in latest games. And will last 3 year atleast for gaming.

Uhh mate, where are you gettting this GX660R from? If you are comparing them to the dell and the lenovo you must be looking at around $1500 for it. My local retailer has them for $2250 - a price I can neither afford nor belive.

Note: I am in Australia

well mate, i'm actually getting GX660 & not GX660R. GX660 is available here in India for Rs.67500 ($1501 AUD)+tax i.e.Rs.3000 ($60 AUD). SO ,I HAD THIS RIG FOR AROUND Rs.71500 ($1561 AUD).

well, don't know is it cheap or costly but yes, as you said ,with 5870 its a good buy. may be my retailer can cut down the cost a lil more if i order 2 GX660's. interested in havin one mate? hehe...

Haha; it will probably still be too expensive for me. I would have to pay shipping, GST and import tax. That adds many hundreds of dollars

I have been convinced by Avro Arrow not to buy a gaming laptop, instead to upgrade my gaming desktop.
