Polaroid iD975 camcorder "card error"

I have recently bought a new Polaroid iD975 camcorder and a micro format SD disk for it. When I try to use that card, a 'card error" message comes on the screen. I can format the card and use it but, when I turn off the camera and re-start it, the same message appears and I lose all the files. What's wrong and what can I do?

Maybe try a new SD card, contact Polaroid for support.
