Power button led light goes dim, then back to bright on HP 2000 laptop

The power button that houses the white led (to show power is on) is dim when I turn on the laptop. Then several days later, it is back to bright again when I turn on laptop. I have Windows 8.1. The computer info: HP 2000-2b09WM 15.6" 1.3GHz 2GB 320GB laptop. It's about 1 year old, this started happening about 2 months ago. See the power button led light on the upper left of the keyboard in this photo, its at normal brightness now:

If you don't notice damage to performance/random shutdowns or any problems.

It might just be the light dying.

No other problems with the computer thank goodness, just don't know why an led would go bad this early

happened to me on a tv.

it happens occasionally.

Hi, don't worry, sometime some components are at their best performance, and sometime at their worst. If this is the only problem you have with your laptop, don't be bother with some power light going dim on you.
