Powering an amplifier with a computer power supply.

So i know this is really old, so my answer is to anyone in the future!
Unfortunately most PC cases do not have a 12volt connector on the outside of the case. so you will have to go inside.
If you have a 12 volt amplifier(speakers with 12v input) that you want to power from a Desktop computer, then you can hook the power connector straight to the PC power supply using a yellow wire for positive, and a black for the negative[you can hook up to one of the unused connectors for extra hard drives]. You will then just have to find a hole in your case to pull this wire out. . if your comfortable soldering you can of course cut off the connector from the inside of the PC and solder your speaker's Power connector to it.

BE WARNED especially if you have a relatively large amplifier, more than 1-2 amps, then you should probably have a separate power supply so you don't risk damage to your computer.
