Hey everyone,

I'm looking into buying a light gaming ultrabook. I'm comparing three at the moment (two are below) and I just had a quick question.

One laptop has an i7 processor with a GeForce GT 750M graphics module and is 15.6'' with a 1366x768 resolution (Acer Aspire V5-573PG-9610).

The other laptop has an i5 processor with a Geforce GT 720M graphics module and is 15.6'' with a 1900x1080 resolution (Aspire V7-582PG-6421).

I use my laptop for web surfing, office, and most importantly games such as Dota 2 and League of Legends (not as demanding as Skyrim and the likes). Basically my question is which of these two laptops would serve my purpose more? And also what are the general differences I would experience between the two?

Thanks a lot for any responses.

Yeah, 720 isn't going to game well at 720p, much less 1080p.

For gaming, you're far better off with the 750M and 720p screen. Yes, it's a lower resolution, but even a 750M won't game well at 1080p anyways.

Just so you know, ultrabooks by definition aren't designed for gaming - the only thing that comes close would be the Razer Blade.

Thanks that is good to know.

Even though they aren't designed for gaming would I be wrong in assuming that a 750M could run games such as League or Dota (much less demanding than Skyrim and Battlefield 4) on medium-high settings?
