Solved! problem add Google Handwriting app to Samsung tablet

Got the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8" 32GB SM-T380 Tablet, Android 8.1

In setting - "Language and input", under language, I have English (US), Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (simplify)

When I tried to add app "Google Handwriting input" , the input soft keyboard English keyboard typing input functions disappeared. I end up having only the Chinese handwriting non-keyed board.

I am able to do this in my Android system 8.1 mobile phones switching between English typing and Chinese handwriting. But unable to do same in this Samsung tablet.

Sounds like a flaw in the app you installed. I would contact the apps creators about the issue.
