Problem with 5.1 audio on a home cinema

I connected my pc to a SAMSUNG HT-TXQ120 home cinema via hdmi(with an hd4850) and it sounds only stereo. I installed ati hdmi component, but still didn't sound 5.1.
What should I do?

what about the movie, is it 5.1, what about the type of hdmi version 1.2 or 1.4, read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI
