Problem with Fraps and any recording software

Need help here guys. I don't know why I can't seem to record any game using fraps. When I am using fraps, it doesn't record the game even though I am pressing the hotkey for recording. I even tried using bandicam but I still have the same problem; it is not recording. BTW, When using fraps or bandicam, the "colored number" ( is that the fps ?) won't show. I even tried using the screenshot feature of fraps, it won't work in-game. The Fraps and Bandicam, however, works when I am recording my desktop only, and the screenshot features functions too. Help please. Thanks .

Processor: AMD fx 4300
VC: ATI RADEON 5600/5700
OS: windows 7 ultimate
RAM: 4gb
(I included my pc's specs just in case it is needed)

Maybe you know this already.. just asking:
Have you check the save file location of FRAPS, usually C:\Fraps\Movies?
Fraps trial version only takes 30secs..

Yup I've checked it already; no screenshots, no video recorded for any games; it only records my desktop actually when I am using aero desktop dwm.

If you are into game capture, make sure your is not using the key same as the Screen capture/Video record Keys. if it is, change it to something else.

Yeah, I did that too. I made sure that I use the "recording hotkey" that is different from my in-game controls.

Maybe its a codec issue, not sure, do you have VLC or K-lite or some media player that add codec pack to play different video format.. If you don't have it, try download VLC (Video LAN) and install.. You may also need to uninstall and re-install FRAPS/Bandicam once codecs are installed.

Gonna try your suggestion and see if it works.
