Problem with my microphone or Windows 8.1

So my problem is related with my microphone. I use my headphones' microphone and it seems like the OS can hardly detect it. While i'm talking normal the OS (including Skype) cant detect any sound until I put the microphone literally in my mouth, and even then, the sound that the person who i'm talking with receives is like broken. How ever in TeamSpeak or in CS:GO for example there aren't any problems the people who i'm talking to hear me perfect. I tried many microphones but the result is the same. So how can I fix it? How about checking your device settings (right click on the speaker icon and click communications ) to make sure it's properly set up? Should only take a few moments and will likely show you that you have the mic gain turned down quite a bit.

Change that one to "do nothing", and then go to the recording tab and increase the gain on the mic you are using.
