Problem with screen on nvidia tablet

Yesterday out of nowhere my nvidia shield tablets screen got a line across it, like dead pixels or something, I was reading a comic and suddenly I notices this line, rebooted and it appears on the boot screen also (the one thats shows nvidias logo and android).

Wanted to know if its fixable or the screen is just damaged with no repair except change the screen?

Well, changing the screen would be "fixable". Not fixable would be if you can't fix it at all and need to toss the device.

You can check the connections to the screen. See if pushing on the edges of the screen a bit will fix it, I've seen a few times where the screen started working when the bezel was adjusted.
