Yesterday, I plugged in my iPod in my computer and had itunes open. I got the error message that my ipod wasn't recognised, and that I would have to reinstall itunes and try again.

So I uninstalled itunes and all other apple components that were in the uninstall menu.

Then I downloaded the itunes installer from the website and ran it. It started the install process then came with the error: "Bonjour service cannot be installed." I select Abort and cancelles the task regarding the installation of that component.

Then a little later, I get: "Apple Mobile Devices cannot be installed." I select the same thing. The error message that the install has been interupted comes up and this happens EVERYtime I attempt an install. I cannot download the program through the Apple Software Update program either.

Any input welcome!

Thanks!

Try syncing just music, and see if you get that error. If not, try syncing other types of media till you find out which is giving the error.

I removed all traces of iTunes from my machine. Then I downgraded to iTunes 10. Now when I try to sync items to my iPod, I get: There were problems syncing certain files to the iPod. Error 1-24.

The error message was something like that.
