After installing IE6 (or IE 5.5) the leftside panel in my EXPLORER (not IE) behaves wierd, when clicking a - for closing a catalog, it just expands again (only clicking once).

How do i get around this?

(i'm running win98).

Post this in the Windows 95/98/ME/XP section.

I don't know why it's like that, cuz IE 6 is running fine for me. Did you install IE6 right after IE5.5? You shouldn't install it like that, that's why, cuz it might get screwy.

Anyways, I haven't heard of that happening. I go through a lot of overkill, so I don't even have to deal with that kind of stuff. I guess uninstall IE, then see if it fixes it. If it does, reinstall IE again. If it's back to broke, maybe try downloading IEradicator. That uninstalls IE completely. That way, you can install IE fresh. I like it, but I just do everything the regular way (following the steps suggested by Fred Langa).

Does that help though?

Don't pay any attention to my chickenscratch.

Well, instead of waiting for some Registry Key Guru i tried the uninstall procedure, then installed IE 5.01.
Back to normal, and i surprisingly got to keep my links.

Thanks.
