Processor up grade

Hello, I wondering what Xeon type processor will be compatible with my Optiplex 330. It has 4gigs of ddr2 and right now run a Intel Xeon E3110 (isnt compatible).So what I need is one that works with the mother board

I guess what ever is on dells cpu support list for your model ?

or research things like this and see whats found to work and whats not ?/

Are you currently running an E3110? What model number motherboard (Dell or whoever) is in the computer now? If not running an E3110 now what CPU are you running?

its not like dell offers any real support so anything you do is for the most part at your own risk

I got the little crap off cregslist so its not like there is much of a warranty I just want a xeon in there that supports the board. I mean Im fine with how I have it set up right now I have the side off blowing the gpu and the cpu heat sync and Its not going to over heat if the fan Im using pluged in on the side the heat sync is the size of a pine64

We still need to know the hardware that is currently in the computer to make any recomendation.

well scan the dell forums on your model see what said to work or don't ?? all you got is the hearsay opinions - you don't get a cpu/bios support list like real motherboards do so its take there word and hope for the best
