I have a Sony VPL-VW100 projector and Pioneer DVD player.

Both have one HDMI output.

My receiver is an HK AVR 7000, 15+ years old.

Unfortunately there are no HDMI outputs.

Are there any solutions which would allow me to improve the quality of projected picture?

This is a link to the HK manual re rear (page 9) and front (page 7) panels.

This is a link to the Sony manual. The rear panel is described on page 9.

Thanks for any suggestions.

So bypass receiver and direct connect DVD ----> Sony?

I admit if Sony has a single HDMI port this would be inconvenient, maybe some sort of HDMI switch if you can buy one with a remote. Amazon my good man. Between Google and Amazon, 98% of world questions already answered. :D

Yes, that seems like the best solution.

Ha-ha, have to agree that all is solved with Amazon and Google.

Thanks.
