PS3 SOUND PROPLEMS THROUGH SONY 7.2 OPTICAL

MORNING

MY PS3 RUNS OPTIC CABLE TO MY HOME THEATER SYSTEM,FOR BLUE RAY I CAN ONLY GET SOUND IF I RESET MY PS3 COMPLETELY DEFAUT SETTINGS AND THEN IF I SWITCH PS3 OFF THERE IS NO SOUND THE RED LITGH THROUGH OPTICAL DOES NOT COME ON I NEED TO UN PLUG THE OPTICAL CABLE FROM THEATER SYSTEM AND PLAY WHITH THE PS3 SETTINGS UNTIL I GET MY RED LIGHT ON BEFORE I CAN GET ANY SOUND

2: Optical can only transmit 3 sound formats:
2.0 PCM
Dolby Digital
DTS

Of those, only PCM 2.0 can be played back by most televisions without going through a decoder first.

do i need to change my settings because everything was fine and i redid my ariale cables and then all the sh.t started ive reset my ps3 about 20 times then all off suden it works 100% and if i switch off my ps3 and on again same proplem accur my masjien (ps3) havent effen played a game only bleu ray dvd and the sound is what is all about i have tried everything dont know what more to do.
