Hi,

I have Lenovo Y700-15ISK with I7-6700HQ, 16GB Ram DDR4 2133Mhz
And i will add an External GPU using this.

My question is: I7-6700HQ can run Zotac GTX 1070 AMP! Edition ? or it will give me a bottleneck problem?

Solution
Well then it should work. As for bottlenecking, I think it's going to be the PCI Express that's going to be the bottleneck. Which is pretty normal considering how cheap that adapter is.

Personally, I would just buy or build a desktop instead. It's not worth the hassle.

And where, exactly, will you connect this NGFF cable?

I will replace it with the wlan card.

If i just use GTX 970 instead of 1070 that will be good?

Yeah that will be fine. However, I'd highly recommend getting the RX 480 instead if you go that route. The RX 480 is a measly $200 while packing better performance than a GTX 970.

Thanks, but is the adapter works on Windows 10 ?

I'm not sure. Sorry. You'll have to go to the manufacturer's website to check that.

Last question, is the gtx 980 also works ?

Any graphics card will work as long as it has a PCI-E connector and is withing the power limits of your power supply. (So yes it will work) :)

I mean if i used a gtx 980 i will not be have a bottleneck :) ?

I will buy the RX 480, Thanks <3.
