The radio that is currently in our Motorhome works fine and retains its memory. We would like to add an exterior radio system. We plan on tapping the fuse that is the constant source of power that powers the memory for the inside radio for the memory of the new exterior radio. If I have the vehicle running so that there is a source of power to the inside radio can I then remove the fuse for the constant power and install one of those fuses that allows you to tap off of it safely and still retain the memory settings for the couple of minutes that the fuse is actually out ??? I hope this makes sense.

Hi
Your best bet would probably be to get a length of wire with an alligator clip at each end and connect this at each end of the fuse.
This will then keep the power on while you remove the fuse.
When the new fuse is fitted remove the wire.
