Ram details needed

I am planning to buy a new 8gb ram.

MSI GT60 2PC has 4 ram slots, 2 slots near the CPU, GPU.. 2 slots can be reached only by removing the keyboard(which i dont really want to mess with).

i am not sure where this stock ram is installed ,So assuming MSI has used the slot under keyboard, if i buy a 8gb module and just insert it anywhere, it will become dual channel or i have to insert it near to the stock one ?

MSI has used one of the slots under the keyboard to install the stock RAM.
You can then use one of the slots available under the back cover to install another 8Gb stick.
Which one you use is difficult to tell though. You'd have to check with CPU-Z to see if it is running dual or not.
