RCA soundbar looses sound

Soundbar issues My rca soundbar looses connection every time I change the channel. It’s directly connected to my cable box. I have to go back to the settings and toggle thru to get the sound back

Check the settings on your television and choose external speaker option to make sure that the soundbar is set as default.

Use the HDMI converter with the Audio extractor, and set the "Audio Out/Optical" on the TV.
