Realtek audio manager not opening/Realtek audio manager not detecting earphones with mic

As the title says, realtek hd audio manager is not opening ( the application ) and not detecting any device connected to my laptop. I have a dell inspiron 7559 laptop. About 3-4 months back it was working just fine ( detecting any device such as earphones with mic connected to it), then suddenly it stopped detecting and the mic just stopped working ( mic built inside the earphones ). Then after about a month of not functioning the mic started working again and realtek starting popping up the windown whenever i would connect my earphones. But recently ( About 3 weeks) same problem has occurred again i.e. mic not working.
Please Help

Have you tried reinstalling the sound card?

Assuming you still have window 10 installed
Right click on the start menu and select device manager.
Click on the + next to sound controller
right click on realtek high definition audio device then uninstall
Click action tab at the top then scan for hardware changes
It should then reinstall the device
