I'm looking to buy a digital camera - bridge style. My budget is 850. I shoot mainly nature and wildlife (birds, etc). I sometimes like to shoot the moon and the night sky. I'd say my skill level is intermediate.
I've been looking at two Nikon models: the p900 and b700.
My thoughts:
p900 - I favor the zoom, but, the lower MP range (16) and lack of RAW support is pretty underwhelming and quite disappointing. More expensive - I assume for the massive zoom lens.
b700 - Higher MP (20.3) and RAW mode is a big plus. However, since wildlife is pretty skittish, the lack of the massive zoom lens may impact how close I can get.
both: Wifi and NFC features are great to have. I can't decide which would be better for my needs.
I am not sure from the specifications how well both cameras do in low-light since the sensor is pretty small (typ. point n shoot 1/2.3").
What does everyone think? Also, what can I do to waterproof/weatherproof either camera?
