My Galaxy S6 screen went dark, Can I retrieve my pictures to my home computer?

If your phone still works and you can unlock it (ie get past the lock screen), then yeah. You should be able to plug the device into your computer and navigate through its folders like you would with a USB drive. Your photos will be located in a folder named "Pictures" or "DCIM" in most cases.
