Remote desktop using the client's resources?

Is there a method to remote desktop (or an alternative) that utilizes the client's resources such as cpu, memory, etc? I have a server computer that is very slow and the client computer is much faster.

That's what remote desktop is. You are using that remote pc but through yours and see it on your monitor.

really? i even use the client computer's cpu to perform all of the calculations that are being made?

Yes you can even open the task manager on the remote pc and your pc and see the cpu usage on both.
