I relplaced my notebook LCD Screen:
LQ164M1LA4A
with
LQ164D1LA4B
The reason that was the previous model was unavaialble or at insane price (300-400 Euros, but still out of stock).
BTW< when ordering, the guy said, that this should be working.

Now, the new screen only shows blank white screen when booting up. Any ideas/help?
Thank you!

Well the #1 thing would be, how do you know you hooked it up right? Did you recheck the connections/cables?

Also the resolution of the 2 screens are not the same, the 4A is a 1920x1080, the 4B is a 1600x900, not the same screen at all. I would think in order to work properly, you need to get a 1920x1080 screen.

Try ebay http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=LQ164M1LA4A&_sacat=0&_odkw=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aliexpress.com%2Fwholesale%2Fwholesale-lq164m1la4a-.html&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
or http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale/wholesale-lq164m1la4a-.html or

I thought so, but the tech guy said (where I ordered the screen), that it should be working.
Also I read from Vaio owners, that replacing the 1600*900 screen with 1920*1080 works.
Strange it is not working vice versa.

I'll try to check the connections again.

BTW, Getting a cable for this screen can help? I mean changingthw whole LCD Cable/Inverter parts.

New inverter could help, could have been the issue to begin with, unless it was something obvious like a cracked screen. Also keep in mind you could have damaged a connector when replacing the screen also. Aside from the whole screen may not work with that model thing.

The problem was getting the same screen - I contact at least 25 resellers worldwide, they did not have it. Tried e-bay and sites like that - they had the item online, but after contacting them they said, it's not avilable.

BTW, this screen is same manufacturer, all specs are the same except the resolution.
It has 2 ccfls, inverter board and even the connector.
