Replacement or new laptop?

Long story short, my girlfriend knocked about 2l of water onto the laptop, flipped it over to drain it but now it's been 7 months and I've decided to take up the challenge of trying to get it to work because I'm just so enthusiastic...

Power light flickers, no sound, doesn't POST and fans don't start, my guess is the motherboard is completely fried, due to her being optimistic trying to turn it on several times after she decided to let a river flow through the laptop. It's a Lenovo Flex 2-14. Not even 2 years old yet either. Should I replace the motherboard or just get a new laptop? No doubt I'll end up having to get new ram as well knowing my luck.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, cheers!

So much for "long story short" eh?
