Look, everyone is all stuck up on the mortality of the issue. Piracy is morally wrong. Gotcha, good job. Now let's instead look at reality. People like Cchick who Quote: "I got over 70 PS3 games, and over 200 PS2 games, and probably 300+ PS games. Plus all other Saturn, DC, TurboGraphic/PC-Engine/PCFX. etc." represent some .00001% of the global population. When you consider that to the majority of people globally a single X-box game is a month's pay, that's where you start to get problems. They can *just* about afford to scrape up the cash for the system, but can't pay for the games. When this happens, there is a 100% chance that some clever fellow out in China, India, Russia etc. will find a way to pirate. This is what you call 'human nature'. Soon, the technique will spread until it is available to the wealthy nations. There is another 100% chance that a portion of that population will adopt it as they have the opportunity to pay nothing for something. This is the unavoidable conclusion of this scenario. To change the outcome, you have to fiddle the variables. For e.g., as some people have said here, make games so cheap it's actually more difficult to pirate them. But to get yourself worked up over an inevitability is counterproductive at best.
