reset acer aspire 5252

trying to reset my laptop back to factory settings, ive followed the alt f10 way and it didnt do anything the system still booted normal, ive tried holding the 0 down while booting and nothing,tried the f8 way and nothing, and from the acer erecovery file it gives me the error that the hardrive isnt set to factory default. there is no disc as it came with windows 7 already loaded into it. ive contacted acer and they asked me to pay 299.99 for technical support which is ridiculous as im not paying that amount for a 1 time fix.
hopefully someone knows something about my situation or has experience with acer aspires

If this will not work the only option would be to order a System Recovery disc from ACER and you don't need to get a tech support service since you'll be able to run it yourself.
