Roccat XTD 5.1 digital headset sound issue.

Hey guys! A have a sound related issue.

I have a Roccat XTD 5.1 Digital headset. It has its own external soundcard. The problem that I have is that I can hear sound distortion especially at high frequencies but after I reconnect the headphones I can continue watching a video/listening to music with no distortion or any kind of problems till the end. But if I close the video and open it again the distortion reappears. I tried reinstalling the drivers but it didn't help. Any idea about what might cause it? Thanks for your help.

1| When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, you should include your culprit system's specs inclusive of your OS and audio equipment.
2| have you made sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date?
3| In regards to your headset being USB driven, have you made sure your chipset and/or USB drivers are all up to date?
