Rosetta stone - We couldn't find a sound output device

I have tested 2 USB mics. Rosetta stone worked on Windows 7, but it will not work on Windows 8! I have tried my Blue Yeti mic and my Dynex mic.

Any help?

A microphone is not an output device, it's an input device.

The error is referring to the sound card/speaker output.. Check Device Manager to see that the sound card driver is installed and no errors are showing.
