I am sure the 'Just Works' crowd would like a splash/dust resistant iPad... Is there an app for that?

It will be interesting to see how they can strengthen the big touch screen.

I work on fishing boats all the time. Before I go out I pop my HTC Evo into a sandwich baggie and it stays nice and safe while I am getting covered in water, grunge and slime. I can still use it to do anything I want from the bag. It's a cheap easy solution.

In a market where waterproofing is default on all phones, that is a necessary feature.

Living here, I can tell you it will be ridiculously overpriced, even on contract etc -- And really not needed, they have an "Ipad for Everyone" campaign out right now and I'm still not seeing Ipads everywhere. I just don't think most Japanese even see a use for a tablet.
