Hey,

I got a laptop with a broken hard drive that I want to use as a kind of "terminal". It has "Boot on LAN" feature. Is there a way to boot from a hard drive on another PC over LAN ? Maybe I could use a memory stick to boot from ? Any bootable VPN or Remote-Desktop available that doesn't require a hard drive to work ?

Many thanks,

Yes, you can boot via USB, through a flash drive or an external hard disk. That capability depends on your laptop's motherboard though. Check your BIOS boot settings to see if you can set "USB" as the first boot device.
