Samsung galaxy S2 won't turn on

I got Sumsung S2 from AT&T last June. It has been working fine until 2 days ago. The phone showed low battery and turned off automatically. I tried to charge it, but it looked dead. I called AT&T and they sent me a new battery and charger. I have been charging it for over an hour now, It is still dead and won't turn on.

You have to hold the power button several seconds. That is after you see the battery charge indicator screen.

Then wait, it takes 5 seconds or so for you to get a display and another 10 seconds for complete boot.

I tried rebooting my s3 and it froze in the middle it shows the charging symbol when I plug it in but it still freezes I keep taking the battery out and in several times but it still freezes while it's turning on
