Solved! Samsung galaxy tab E has no sound. Checked sound in settings.

Today tablet has no sound. Tried adjust volume. Looked at sound settings in settings. Mute is not on.

Try starting it up in "Safe Mode" and see if you get sounds from there. If yes, then something on the device is the problem. Malware, virus, bad app, etc. If you still get no sound in "Safe Mode" and none of the volume is set low, then you are looking at hardware. Either the volume button is damaged and not changing it (or not allowing it to change), or there is an internal problem. In that case, if under warranty I would contact the manufacturer. If not, then try a local tech.

To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. First turn off the tablet.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the manufacturers logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or something similar.

4. If you wanted disable it, simply repeat the steps above, and you should see "Safe Mode: OFF" rather than on.
