Solved! Samsung lcd tv zoom

Hello,
I have the same exact problem, my 46" samsung was normally on "zoom 1" and now zoom 1 and zoom 2 are grayed out and you cant choose them, how do i correct this problem, my cable provider is comcast im not sure if that means anything but yea i definately notice the difference on wide screen and i want my zoom back

If you hit menu on the Comcast remote while the box is off, it will call up the service menu. Make sure the resolution is set on 1080i and not "Native." Quite a few sets freak out on Native.

That being said, you should leave the Samsung on 16:9 for the size setting.

i should leave it on 16:9? cause thats what its on now, but if i do this i can get the zoom option back, thanks

yep just did it, actually the zoom 1 from the samsung options with the samsung remote its that zoom thats grayed out but i fixed it with the normal setting in the comcast and its back to the way it was, thank god! well hey thank you for your help, i really appreciate it a lot!
