Samsung remote training to an Zvox SB500

I have a new SB-500 Sound bar. I would like to teach the Samsung remote to control the sound bar. However, I do not have a mute button on my samsung remote. That means I can only perform three of the tasks rather then the four needed to train the Samsung remote. Please, any help worth be greatly appreciated.

I have never seen a TV remote without mute but if you say so.
If there is a button on the remote that performs a function that will not affect the TV you can use that instead to program the soundbar. Doesn't have to be "mute". Could be meant to operate some other device.
