Samsung s3 help

It won't load past the Samsung screen.

I have tried holding power, home and volume up as well as power, home and volume down. Nothing is working

Any more details on this? Did anything happen to it recently, perhaps an attempted update that might have been botched? You could potentially try a hard reset, but keep in mind that that would wipe all data on the phone.
