samsung smart tv media apps not streaming

i have a 2014 samsung smart tv (the curved one, not sure of model #). None of the streaming media apps (netflix and amazon) are streaming media. they are loading and populating menus with fresh and updated content but nothing will actually play. i've power cycled everything but my toothbrush. both apps work fine on ps4 and laptop using same internet connection.

I'm having the same issue. It says the Samsung server is not responding. Hopefully they will fix the issue soon
