I have had the same Samsung smart tv wifi not connecting problem. Nothing from the forums worked. If you google ue46es8000 (my

Google ue46es8000, there is a thread that explains how to change your wifi region to "A" in the secret menu (from stand by press info, menu, mute then power) nothing else worked for me, I tried the 8888 and reset but this fixed it for me, just when I thought it was a hardware problem as well!
